Hi-Temp Solar Collectors have a solar collector surface made from a special synthetic rubber material. Because it is flexible, Hi-Temp solar collectors conform to irregular surfaces and can be laid on the ground. Hi-Temp Assembled Solar Collectors are four feet or two feet wide and we make them in lengths of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 feet. The injection molded headers are two-inch inside diameter. A hip roof header is available for custom applications. Hi-Temp Solar Collectors are versatile. They are cemented to the mounting surface and can run horizontally along a roof parallel to the eve or vertically up the roof. They work well on a flat roof where you may not want to penetrate the surface with mounting screws. You can buy the Hi-Temp solar collector surface and headers separately and field-assemble solar collectors in any length up to 100 feet. You can lay these on the ground or on a flat roof for large commercial pools. You may find that to be more economical than building racks for panel type solar collectors.

Designing your Hi-Temp Solar System
We recommend a that you make your total solar collector area equal to at least 50 percent of the square feet of pool surface area. If you use more collector area, your pool will be even warmer and you will have a longer swimming season. You can create a system using Hi-Temp assembled collectors. They are all four feet wide and range in length from 15 to 40 feet, with areas from 60 to 160 square feet. Multiply the surface area of your pool by 0.5 and select Hi-Temp solar collectors that total that amount, or more

Hi-Temp Solar System Kits
To make it even easier to select a solar system for your pool, we offer complete solar heating systems matched to popular pool sizes. The Kits consist of assembled collectors, controls and fittings for a ground mounted system. . If the system is to be roof or rack mounted, add the indicated mounting kit.

Control Systems
You may select either a manual or a fully automatic control for your solar system. A manual control has a 3-way manual valve. By turning its handle you can shut off the solar system in bad weather or at night when the pump is running. This is important, because if the water flows through the solar system in cold or rainy weather it can actually cool the pool. The Hi-Tec Automatic Control System. Senses the water temperature of the pool and the amount of available solar energy. It will automatically turn on your solar system whenever the water temperature is below the temperature you have selected, provided there is enough solar energy to heat your pool. A pool with an automatic control will almost always be warmer than one with a manual control. The Hi-Tec Automatic Control System has a weatherproof, fully automatic electronic control panel, sensors and motor driven valve. To identify an automatic solar system, add the suffix "A" to the part number. If you initially select a manual system and later decide to upgrade to automatic, you can do so with the Automatic Control Conversion Kit.

Custom Collectors
If you need solar collectors of a special size or solar collectors more than 40 feet long we offer the Hi-Temp Custom Collector System. You buy the Hi-Temp headers and the solar collector surface separately. Then cut the EPDM rubber solar collector surface to the desired length and field-assemble solar collectors by pushing the collector tubes over barbed nipples that are integral with the headers. You can make custom solar collectors up to 100 feet long. We even offer a Hip-Roof/Valley Header that lets you form the collector to fit a hip roof or one with valleys. You will get more solar surface area on the roof and the solar system will be more attractive.
